We strive to resolve disputes quickly and effectively, taking a commercial approach and with as little disruption to business as possible. Whilst litigation is not exactly the most preferred solution to a dispute, ILC does have a team of experienced litigators, with extensive experience and a high success rate. Likewise, we assist our clients in resolving their legal disputes through arbitration and mediation.

Due to our extensive experience in dispute resolution, in 2007 we were asked to represent the Republic of Armenia in its first arbitration claim filed with ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes) by a US corporation claiming breach of the US-Armenia Bilateral Investment Treaty. ILC, in cooperation with Debvoise & Plimpton, was successful in negotiating a settlement deal.

ILC has also been a consistent contributor to the annual publication of “Enforcement of Money Judgments” (by Juris Publishing). For over a decade, ILC has prepared the chapter on Armenia.
